So, this is the top part of my Divergence Meter, from Steins;Gate series. Yes, it's real. No, it's not like the original.

First, there are no nixies (the numerical display) in the real world that matches the series'. Second, I've made it with the components I could gather, so you can see some differences, like the inductor at the left side (in the original, it's a capacitor).

It's not finished yet. I'll work now on the central board, that'll control the tubes. I hope I'll finish it soon.

Actually, the IN 8-2 tubes seem to be the ones used in the anime. They're about 55 mm tall and have the decimal like in the anime. After guessing at the size of them using Amane's hand as a reference (mine and her hands seem to be the same size), I can almost 100% say that the ones in the anime are IN 8-2's.
Anyway, I can't wait to see the final product of your project.

Well, they may be large, but they have nippled-tops, and the numbers doesn't match the series' proportion. But thanks for the idea anyway.

You do have me there. The ones in the series have numbers more like IN 18's. Actually, they match them almost perfectly if you compare them:

And the IN 18 doesn't have decimal points =X. The best match Tom Titor could find was a set of very rare National 544A nixies. They can't be found on eBay anymore. But the IN 8-2 are a good match, at least better than the IN 14
